Valérie Lederer pursued a doctorate in Public Health and Epidemiology at the Université de Montréal under the direction of Dr. Rivard. Her research interests include the evaluation of return-to-work interventions and theoretical and statistical modeling of the determinants of work disability, with a particular focus on prolonged disability and gender issues.
