André Plamondon's research focused mainly on the quantification of back loading during manual material handling work, the development of measuring instruments to quantify the physical exposure of workers and back muscle strengthening exercises. For several years, he has been working on a research program specifically dedicated to manual material handling, the general objective of which is to develop a specific training program for these kind of activities.
