Partnerships take effect through formal agreements in which the Institute and other organizations join forces and jointly commit to develop specific occupational health and safety research sectors. Thus, partners can pool financial and technical resources to optimize their expertise and can also oversee each partner’s financial investments to support the execution of scientific activities.
The IRSST is open to establishing research, development and innovation partnerships with partners in the public sector (government departments, granting agencies, Crown corporations, municipalities, universities, colleges), private non-profits (foundations, community organizations, research organizations) and private for-profit organizations (small, medium and large companies) in Quebec, Canada and internationally.
The IRSST is recognized by the Ministère de l'Économie, de l'Innovation et de l'Énergie as an eligible public research center. A company can therefore benefit from a refundable tax credit for scientific research and experimental development work carried out by the IRSST.
