Return-to-work trajectories, resources and quality of life in workers ages 45 and up in the health and social services sector Abstract Workers 45 and up have lower occupational injury rates than the overall labour force, but their injuries tend to be more severe and associated with a longer average duration of compensation. Studies suggest that older workers follow different rehabilitation trajectories, but representing them in models that could guide policy remains a challenge. The aim of this research project is to map the trajectories followed by health and social services workers 45 and up who have sustained an occupational injury. Factors influencing these trajectories will also be examined. The research team wants to measure trajectory impacts on well-being, relevance and job satisfaction and provide an overview of rehabilitation practices for older workers.
