Portrait of Work and Occupational Health and Safety among 15-year-olds in Quebec Abstract In Quebec, there has been an increase in the labour force participation of young students 15 to 19 years of age (ISQ, 2014). From the perspective of work-related injury prevention, it is thus appropriate to gather evidence on the characteristics and trajectories of young people making an early entry onto the labour market. In 2013, the IRSST became a partner of the Quebec Longitudinal Study of Child Development (QLSCD), with the aim of incorporating a new series of questions on employment and occupational health and safety into the study’s 2013 phase. The research will develop a first descriptive portrait of youth, 15 years of age, covered by the survey and holding a job during the school year.
