Development of the Content for a Web site on Disability and Return to Work Abstract This activity was initiated by the researchers to help improve the dissemination and implementation of best practices in occupational rehabilitation after observing less-than-optimal uptake of knowledge by the various actors in rehabilitation and return to work. The researchers will collaborate with the Canadian Institute for the Relief of Pain and Disability in Vancouver, which is currently developing a portal titled Health & Work Productivity. The portal will provide comprehensive evidence-informed information on risk factors associated with occupational disability and best practices for facilitating return to work. As part of this activity, the Québec researchers will develop the content for a Web site that will include some sections of the Health & Work Productivity portal after they have been translated into French, and will later add some new ones. A knowledge translation activity will then be proposed in order to develop the Web site, which will be hosted by the IRSST. Once completed, the IRSST Web site and the Health & Work Productivity portal will offer guidance on the dissemination and implementation of best practices during the occupational rehabilitation process, which should help reduce long-term disability.
