Promoting the quality of employment in home support in Wallonia - Brussels and in Québec: the comparison and promotion of good practice Abstract This activity stems from a call for research projects launched on the occasion of the Ve Commission mixte permanente de coopération Québec - Wallonie-Bruxelles (5th permanent joint board on cooperation between Québec - Wallonia-Brussels). It involves promoting and supporting quality employment in home support services, which falls within the field of social economics. Cooperation between Québec and Belgian scientists is based on their respective expertise in the study of working, health and safety conditions in this rapidly growing sector. It aims to promote and transfer this knowledge through the exchange of research results, in particular on good practices. It will include a survey and comparison of such practices, determined by the partners’ previous work, followed by the development of a guide for field practitioners. Dissemination of this document on the Internet will facilitate access to good home support practices, thus promoting the quality of employment in this sector. In addition, the establishment of relations between Québec and Belgian researchers will lead to the creation of an exchange network offering the possibility of other joint projects.
