Application of the database developed in the Sherbrooke project, a five-year prospective study the management of work-related low back Abstract An extensive study on occupational low back pain management, with a follow-up of more than six years, resulted in several types of data being collected, namely medical, quality of life, occupational status and workstation data, as well as data on the costs to the CSST. This publication describes the information obtained from a more thorough use of this database. The dissemination of this work is contributing significantly to the knowledge on rehabilitation of people with back pain as well as on the costs associated with management of these injuries, the quality of the measuring tools available for diagnosing and predicting long-term disability, and the types of interventions that can facilitate a return to work.
