Pierre Marois has occupied numerous posts during his career, including that of Minister of State for Social Development in the Lévesque cabinet from February 2, 1977 to November 6, 1980. He went on to become Minister of Labour and Manpower from November 6, 1980 to April 30, 1981, Minister of Labour, Manpower and Income Security from April 30, 1981 to September 9, 1982, and lastly, Minister of Manpower and Income Security from September 9, 1982 to November 24, 1983, when he resigned as an MLA.
