President and CEO of the IRSST from 2002 to 2007, Diane Gaudet has also held high-level government positions such as Deputy Minister in Québec’s Aboriginal Affairs, Intergovernmental Affairs, Youth, and Environment and Wildlife departments. In addition, she has worked at the CNESST and occupied various posts at the Public Security department. An early career highlight was the fact that at age 27, she became the first woman in North America to serve as Director of a detention centre for men (the centre in Baie-Comeau).
