Building on achievements to create a better future

Research is an essential ally in the task of resolving today’s problems and managing tomorrow’s challenges. In OHS, as in other fields, new issues arise as technical progress, organizational changes, and innovative processes emerge.

In a renewed mission statement, research remains the focal point of the IRSST’s mission:

• “Contribute to workers’ health and safety through research, the expertise of its laboratories, and knowledge dissemination and transfer, with a view to promoting prevention and sustainable return to work.”

The IRSST has adopted a new vision and updated the expression of its values to better support the efforts of all those who work to achieve its mission and shape its future. These values and vision embody a spirit of collaboration and are designed to ensure that the Institute’s production meets the highest criteria in line with the needs and priorities of its social, employer, and worker partners.
