The IRSST is proud to announce that one of its scholarship recipients has been honoured with an Étudiants-chercheurs étoiles Award from the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ). The awardee is Alexandra Lecours, a doctoral student in biomedical sciences at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières.
The Fonds de recherche Société et culture awarded a prize for a scientific article that was authored by Ms. Lecours and published in Sweden’s Scandinavian Journal of Occupational Therapy. Titled “Preventive behaviour at work — A concept analysis”, this article concerns preventive behaviours and actions to be promoted among workers.
In the context of her IRSST scholarship, Ms. Lecours’ research consists of the study of the development of preventive behaviours related to musculoskeletal upper-limb injuries and disorders when learning a trade in a vocational program.
