According to the Institut de la statistique du Québec, there has been an increase in the labour force participation of young students 15 to 19 years of age. The IRSST became a partner of the Quebec Longitudinal Study of Child Development (QLSCD)  with the aim of incorporating a new series of questions on employment and occupational health and safety into the study’s 2013 phase.
