Profile

Damien Burlet-Vienney started working at the IRSST in 2008. He carries out research studies and knowledge transfer activities in the area of industrial machine safety. He is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec and has a doctorate in industrial engineering from École polytechnique de Montréal. Damien is also an adjunct professor in the Department of Mathematics and Industrial Engineering at École polytechnique de Montréal. His research interests are risk assessment related to industrial machines, hazardous energy control (lockout/tagout and other methods) for stationary and mobile machinery, collaborative robotics, vehicle lifts, risk of collision between mobile machines and pedestrian workers, and risk management in confined spaces.
